Terms of Service

Who we are
ProfitTracker is operated by Profit Tracker, a UK business, registered at 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom. Full trading details are provided on invoices and in the Data Processing Agreement.
What this covers
These terms cover use of the profittracker.app website and the ProfitTracker service — the paid attribution product used by hotel customers. By creating an account you accept these terms.
Data that ProfitTracker processes on behalf of your hotel — your website visitors and booking data — is governed by our Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of your agreement with us.
Your account
Keep your login credentials secure, and give us accurate account information. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. One account can manage multiple properties.
Subscriptions and billing
ProfitTracker is billed monthly per property, at the price shown on the pricing page when you sign up. Payment is handled by Stripe. There are no long-term contracts.
All prices are stated exclusive of VAT. VAT is charged in addition at the applicable rate where required. If you are a business established outside the United Kingdom and you provide a VAT registration number that validates against VIES, the supply is outside the scope of UK VAT and you are responsible for accounting for VAT in your own jurisdiction. You are responsible for the accuracy of any number you provide. Where no valid number is provided, UK VAT is charged.
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; we don't offer partial-month refunds.
If a payment fails, we'll retry and let you know. If payment can't be collected, access to your account may be suspended until it's resolved.
What the numbers mean
ProfitTracker labels a booking's source with an evidence tier: Verified, Matched, Estimated, Declared, or Unmatched. An Unmatched booking is the product working as designed — we report what the evidence supports, and say plainly when it supports no source.
Attribution figures are reporting, not financial or investment advice. Decisions you make based on them — budgets, campaigns, platform choices — are yours.
Your responsibilities
The ProfitTracker snippet runs on your hotel's website. Obtaining any legally required consent from your website visitors — including cookie consent where applicable — is your responsibility as the operator of that website and the data controller for its visitors.
When you connect advertising platforms or booking engines, you must have the authority to do so and comply with those platforms' own terms.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape the site, attempt to circumvent security or rate limits, share your account with third parties for resale, or reverse-engineer the service. Don't use the site or service to break the law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
Content
Blog posts, articles, and other written content on this site are copyright ProfitTracker unless marked otherwise. You're welcome to quote short passages with attribution and a link back to the original. For longer reproductions, ask first.
Your data stays yours. We claim no ownership of the campaign, booking, or property data you bring to the service.
Availability
We work hard to keep ProfitTracker available and reliable, but we don't offer a formal service-level agreement. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where practical. The service is provided as-is, and we don't warrant it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost bookings.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't be excluded under the law of England and Wales.
Termination
You can cancel at any time as described above. We can suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these terms; where reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it. On closure, your data is deleted on the schedule set out in our privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll email account holders before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
